We are delighted to have re-signed Chesney Hughes as our professional for the 2021 season. Chesney endeared himself to players and members alike during the truncated 2020 season with some spectacular stroke making and canny left arm bowling.
Chesney has represented Anguilla, the Leeward Islands, Derbyshire and Northamptonshire in a first class career averaging 31.65 with the bat with a highest score of 270 not out against Yorkshire at Headingley in 2013; a score at Headingley which only 3 other batsman Darren Lehman, John Edrich and a certain Donald Bradman (twice) had previously surpassed!
Chesney will also be looking to run his successful cricket camps again during the half term and summer holidays subject to Covid regulations allowing such camps.
We look forward to another season of scintillating stroke play and left arm guile from Chesney and hope all our members and visitors to the Log Cabin enjoy it too.
