Just a quick reminder to everyone planning on coming down to the Log Cabin today to watch the first XI in action against Bacup, that Covid regulations state that people can only watch if they are partaking in hospitality, and must remain seated when drinking alcohol.
These regulations also require people to comply with the rule of six and the general social distancing protocols that we are all now very much used to.
Because of these capacity constraints we are also only able to serve Greenmount CC members and members of Bacup CC on production of their 2021 membership cards.
While we have recently increased our seating capacity with ten new benches, you are more than welcome to bring your own camping chairs, thereby naturally increasing our seating capacity, and by default, ground capacity.
If we do reach a maximum seating capacity then we will have to close the ground so that we are able comply with the Covid regulations as pure spectators aren’t allowed to watch recreational sport.
Sorry for having to re-iterate all the regulations, I long for the day when we can simply watch cricket without the need to comply with Covid regulations but your continued support in abiding by these rules will hopefully mean that that day will arrive in the near future.
In the meantime I hope the sun remains shining and that you get to see a fantastic game of cricket in our first ever first XI home match in the JW Lees Lancashire League!
