For the club’s 150th anniversary a Greenmount select XI took on the Lashings World XI at Brandlesholme Road on 13th July, 2017.
Lashings – cricket’s answer to the Harlem Globetrotters – put on 212 for 2 in the 20 over clash with the Greenmount XI falling just short on 183 for 9.
Also on hand was legendary BBC Test Match Special commentator Henry Blofeld who described the action to the huge crowd in his own inimitable style.
